This is an injection-plastic passenger car kit.

Fujimi's newest 1/24-scale snap-fit model kit recreates the Suzuki Jimny JB23, introduced in 2014!

This version has been designed for modelers who enjoy painting! It includes exclusive decals and metal inlet emblems. Parts are molded in white to ensure good paint adhesion, with parts intended to be painted silver molded in black. 

The parts are separated by color to match the actual vehicle, minimizing the need for masking. Glue is also not required, since the parts snap together.

This model kit is based on the Land Venture special edition of the JB23 series (Type 10), released in 2014. It depicts the later model featuring a thicker hood design, and it comes equipped with the Land Venture's signature side garnishes and rear spare tire cover. The 1/24 scale allows for the precise reproduction of intricate details.

The body is molded as a single box-like unit using a slide mold to accurately capture the vehicle's slightly rounded side profile. It utilizes the standard "Car NEXT" series construction, where the front, rear, and roof sections snap-fit onto the main body structure. The thicker hood and side panel, specific to Types 9 and 10, are provided as separate parts. The hood intake is rendered as a separate part with realistic depth. The front grille features a two-layer structure to create depth, and the radiator positioned behind it is also modeled in detail.

The undercarriage features a ladder frame as a standalone component, onto which other parts are attached. Components such as the leading arms, trailing arms, front and rear differential gear cases, and drive shafts are modeled as separate, three-dimensional parts.

The headlight lenses feature delicate detailing that replicates the sculpting found on the actual vehicle. The headlight units feature intricate engravings for the main and small light bulbs, creating a realistic, three-dimensional look behind the lens.

The driver and passenger side windows are designed with separate parts for the glass and frames, eliminating the need for masking during painting. The bonding areas (black sections) for the side and rear windows are molded into the body itself, allowing for a realistic finish when the glass parts are fitted.

The rear window defogger is rendered with intricate molded detailing. Clear parts are used for the lenses of the side turn signals and reversing lights; the turn signals feature a design where they are inserted from the back. The integrated brake/turn signal lens unit is recreated using a non-adhesive assembly method, where a clear part fits into the brake lens section. The wiper blades are ultra-fine molded parts that capture a realistic look, featuring sculpted details even on the mounting points.

The dashboard features a three-dimensional design with intricate molding, accurately replicating the shape of the JB23's push-button drive selector switches.

The side mirrors feature a two-layer structure to achieve color separation, with the mirror surface represented by the included mirror decals and metal inlets. The tires are molded from rubber-like resin using a dedicated mold, replicating 175/80R16 on-road tires.

Roof bars -- an optional feature on the actual vehicle -- are included as custom parts to be attached via gluing. Included decals allow for the reproduction of fine color details; unlike stickers, these are designed for painting and do not have an obtrusive thickness. The decal sheet includes details such as the instrument cluster, logos, license plate numbers, and more.
