This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The M113 is an armored personnel carrier developed in the United States and adopted in 1960. Over 80,000 units, including various variants, were produced, seeing service in a wide range of combat and support operations. The M113A1 was a version re-engined with a diesel engine instead of the original gasoline engine, and was officially adopted in 1964. The ACAV (Armored Cavalry Assault Vehicle) variant featured curved armor plating around the commander's cupola and a gun shield for the M2 12.7mm heavy machine gun; these modifications enabled the vehicle to operate similarly to an infantry fighting vehicle, allowing troops to fight from within the vehicle. Developed in 1963, it saw active service during the Vietnam War.
